Originally, the Palace was created to house the concerts of Orfeo Catala, a Catalan choral society. Today, though, it welcomes all sorts of instrumental and orchestral concerts – rather than only serving as venue for classical and Catalan music concerts, now, often enough, the Palace also holds pop music and jazz concerts.
