An artwork by Josep Fontsere, assisted by the young apprentice Antoni Gaudi, the Grand Cascade was built for the World Fair 1888 and it took six years to complete the magnificent baroque Cascade Fountain. The fountain’s Aurora’s Chariot sculpture was made by the Catalan sculptor Rosend Nobas i Ballbe.
