Heart of the Old City, the gothic quartier is formed by a web of narrow streets surrounding La Seu, Barcelona’s cathedral, and numerous buildings originating from the Middle Age. It had been on this very place that the first Phoenician colonies and then the Roman ones chose to settle down. This place is indeed the city’s most touristic one, where we will discover the famous Plaça Reial, Plaça Sant Jaume with its Palau de la Generalitat de Catalunya, and the Plaça del Rei with its Palau Reial Major, home of the kings of Aragon.
